TS EAMCET also known as the Telangana state examination which acts like a gateway for the student to get admission in the engineering and the agriculture courses. It is conducted by JNTU Hyderabad every year on the behalf of TSHE. The scorecard is essential for the admission decisions by the university. It is a state level entrance examination which is conducted every year for the encouraging the students to apply for the best professional courses in the state.

Application Form 2018

There are various things which need to be kept in mind before applying for the examination. Some of the important points are given here-

  • The first and foremost thing is that TS EAMCET exam 2018 application will be available online only i.e. you can only apply via the online mode. No offline mode of application is available. However, candidates need to send the completely filled application form in the offline mode only to the main conducting authority.
  • The advertisement is released on the official portal. It must be read carefully before the online application form is to be filled. The hall ticket will be available on the official portal itself. The candidates need to keep a check on the official website to avoid major discrepancies.

The documents which need to be attached to the application form are as follows-

  • Caste certificate (if applicable)
  • TS EAMCET 2018 Score Card
  • Admit card of 12th or equivalent
  • Date Of Birth certificate
  • Salary certificate
  • Hall Ticket
  • Hall ticket of qualifying exam

Application Fee

The modes of payment for a registration fee of the application form are Mee Seva/e-Seva/TS online/AP online centers in Telangana State or the Application fees can be paid through the payment gateway i.e. Credit Card/Debit card or Net Banking facility.

Courses Application Fees Charges:

  • For the Engineering courses –
  • For the SC/ST Students: Rs 250
  • For the Others: Rs 500
    For the Agriculture courses-
  • For the SC/ST Students: Rs 250
  • For the Other candidates: Rs 500
    Both Engineering and Agriculture
  • For the SC/ST Students: Rs 250
  • For the Other candidates: Rs 500

Eligibility Criteria

  • The Candidates must be a citizen of India.
  • The Person of India Origin (PIO)/ Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) Card Holders are also eligible to apply for the examination.
  • The Candidates must belong to the state of Telangana/ Andhra Pradesh.
  • The Candidates should satisfy local / not – local status requirements which are laid down in the Telangana / Andhra Pradesh by regulations of Admission for the students.
  • Also, there is no Upper Age Limit for any of the courses mentioned in the programme.
  • Other than Hyderabad and Telangana, few engineering colleges in Chennai also accept scores of this exam.

Eligibility for the Bio-Technology, Engineering, Pharmacy and B.Sc Courses:

Nationality– The students must be the card holders of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Indian Nationality or the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI)

Qualification– The candidates should be have passed the 10+2 [12th] Examination

Diploma Candidates-The Candidates with diploma holders can also apply for the same.

Percentage– The candidates should at least get 45% for the general candidates and 40% for reserved category


Qualifications: The candidates should have passed 12th standards

Subjects Required: Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, and Botany should be qualified for appearing in the examination.

Age: The age should be 17 years as on 31st December 2018. However, there is no upper age limit.

For Pharmacy and Pharm. D Course

Qualification-The Applying candidates must have appeared or passed 12th from AP/Telangana board or other recognized board or any other recognized university.

Subjects– Physics, Chemistry, and Biology optional

Percentage: The Candidates must get 45% marks (40% for SC/ST)

Age: The Candidates should have completed 16 years of age by the date of commencement of admission. However, there is no upper age limit in the exam.

Exam Pattern

The examination will be held in the offline mode. The pen and paper based examination will be of three hours. There will be multiple choice questions and one mark will be awarded for the correct answers. There will be around 160 questions in the examination. The subjects will be preferably physics, mathematics and chemistry.

In the engineering examination, there will be 40 marks section for the subjects, physics and chemistry and the total marks will be 80 for the mathematics section.

In case of the agriculture course, botany, zoology, chemistry and physics will be of 40 marks each. The duration will be three hours for both the courses.

The syllabus will be the one which is decided by the Board of intermediate education for the welfare of the students. The subjects will be the same as the sections appearing in the exam pattern.
